[Bug 567005] Re: Lucid won't boot

I have tried older kernels without improvement. 
I can boot another partition, mount and chroot into the failed partition and run dselect to install/uninstall packages, but haven't come up with a fix. Beyond what I have described I do even know what the failure is.
