Done.
There is no change of behavior when testing against 2.6.33-02063303-generic #02063303

I connected a different computer (mac) to the TV and could find a
resolution to work well, are there any details I should try to pick up
from there to help us ?

I am also downloading karmic now again, it used to work well in karmic
so I will try to load a karmic live CD and see if I can extract
information from there as well (mainly xorg log & xrandr output), so
again if you can think of a piece of info to help make progress please
share.
