Now I have been using Ubuntu 10.04 with 2.6.34-999-generic 201005081426
and it seems to be stable. My hardware is ASUS N71JA-TY034X (Intel Core i5, ATI Mobility Radeon HD5730).

The conclusion is:
2.6.31-20 O.K.
2.6.31-21 crashes
2.6.32-21 crashes (the default kernel of Ubuntu 10.04)
2.6.34-99 O.K.

My question is:
how can I modify the Ubuntu 10.04 installation iso image to contain the 2.6.34-999 kernel?

And:
the new kernel makes graphics very slow. How can I return to the old fast graphics with the new stable kernel?

Thanks for any advice
Pavel
