[Bug 654851] [NEW] After kernel update 2.6.32-25-generic, gdm reports: "Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!"

Public bug reported:

After updating to and running the 2.6.32-25 kernel, when booting up,
X/gdm seems to crash, reporting this error:

"(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to load the NVIDIA kernel module!"

I'm honestly not sure what exactly caused this, although the kernel
update sure seems like the obvious answer. Xorg log will be attached in
a moment.
