Point taken. It would be more chaotic, and due to lack of options, I won't jump
ship.
I don't see an official statement of this policy on the Ubuntu website. I looked
up "security policy" and "security disclosure". Perhaps a statement on Ubuntu's
disclosure policy (and with contact info/form for your "responsible disclosure"
model) would be a useful addition?
Just my .02, and since it's not germaine to the bug at hand, I propose that all
further correspondance on this issue be taken to private email. So, if you want
