Hi All,
There is a issue reported by HP where NIC1 of gen9 blade can not be enabled
if broadcom controller is used. After consultation with broadcom it was
found that patch
http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/358990/ fixes the issue. As i can observe
that this patch is there in 3.16 stable kernel upstream
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/tree/drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/bnx2x/bnx2x_link.c?id=refs/tags/v3.16.3

This requested is to backport this patch to trusty SRU kenrel as this is
blocking issue for BL460c Gen9 certification in 1P mode.

Being criticality of the feature can we take this in Oct SRU cycle starting
next week?

Thanks and Regards,
Narinder Gupta (PMP) narinder.gupta at canonical.com

Narinder,

Below is the patch that Qlogic has provided, that fixes the issue.

http://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/358990/

Can you include this patch in the next SRU?

Thanks,
Pradeep.
