[Bug 34023] Upgrade to KDE 3.5.1 hangs KDE on logout

Hmm... The hang reappeared... Seems I did not  do enough research. This
seems rather to be a problem in the combinantion of ALSA, libasound2,
arts and my soundcard (output from lspci: 0000:00:0c.0 Multimedia audio
controller: Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio
Accelerator] (rev 01)). This problem I also experienced earlier, but
resolved it then by downgrading alsa to 1.0.8-7 and libasound2 to
1.0.8-3. See old bugreport (in Debian) for more info on my previous
