[Bug 34437] Screen config kills X

Description:
Whenever I try configuring my screen resolution, refresh rate or anything like that, the X server gets killed, and I cant even go back to any tty as keyboard input doesn't seem to work. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (R350 chip), i'm not using Xgl or anything similar, I'm using propietary ATI drivers.
