[Bug 37302] kmix/sound? does not work on HP nw8240

Description:
I have enabled HP nw8240 laptop keyboard layout and when I now press on
volume up/down/mute buttons, Kmilo complains "It seems that KMix is not
running".

KMix is running, but it does not report any mixer device and tray icon
has red X on it (probably indicating problem).
