I can also confirm this bug, with a PDF sent to me from an Apple Mac
user. Tags in the PDF are:

Creator: AppleWorks
Producer: Mac OS X 10.3.9 Quartz PDFContext
Format: PDF v 1.3

Wold really like this one fixed - or at least a workaround - as it's
causing me some problems. Any suggestions?
