I have the same issue on standard Ubuntu. it is that after unmounting  the PQI and Sandisk sticks keep their LED on on Linux while both do switch off the light on WIndows. The Swissbit stick switches the LED off on both OS.
As others already mentioned, there is no performance problem or data loss. It would just be nice to have the visual feedback that it is safe to unplug, on the stick directly.
