Still no changes in 11.04. It is just necessary that KDE plasma-widget-
networkmanagement adds “no-auto-default=<hwaddr>,<hwaddr>,...” to
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf like nm-connection-editor in
Gnome (see man-page for NetworkManager.conf). Or just disable default
wired connections with “no-auto-default=*” for Kubuntu.
