This has nothing to do with community lobbying but with established names for things and whether those are communicating the wrong message. Now I am not well enough informed about patience games that I'd know whether Zigeuner is the german name for that particular version, but if it is I don't see much reason to change it.
As suggested in my previous comment, by that judgement one would have to refrain from using the word in any context, which would mandate revising quite a few operas (including variations thereof) and classic compositions in general.

Personally I do not see a problem if a game was traditionally called
'fag'. If the game were about shooting humanoid characters that were
modeled to resemble certain homosexual stereotypes (as to indicate
shooting of homosexuals) that would be a problem. Of course one might
still want to consider calling a new game 'fag' as to avoid discussions
like this one.
