[I am a developer of kdev-python, and a user and occasional committer to
kdevelop]

Unfortunately, 5.2.1 was one of the less-stable KDevelop releases in
recent times, and shipped with a few significant bugs including crashes.
Most of these have been fixed in the subsequent point-releases, but
Ubuntu users continue to encounter (and report) them on a regular basis.
