First off, you are better off using an Ubuntu repository rather than a
Debian repository. debian-multimedia.org is a debian repository.
Second, what are the dependency problems? You need to post them.
Third, both the mplayer and mozilla-mplayer are in the multiverse
repository. Check out the ubuntu wiki for how to enable them.
Fourth, to really see and hear 'windows media', you are probably going
to need non-free codecs. Search for 'penguin liberation front' and
'Ubuntu restricted formats'.
