Problem with CD and amarok 1.4.2

I can play audio cds with amarok just fine.

1. Does using another program, like kscd, work?

2. Are you using a desktop or a laptop?  If a desktop, there is a
cable that needs to attach your sound card to your cd-rom drive in
order to play audio cds.
