Sorry for not answering for a longer time. Thank you for your detailed answers!
This "only-one" modeline also didn't help. So as I'm not a linux
prof., I finish making experiments about this, I instead go back to
Ubuntu (which was ok as I remember) or maybe I give Kubuntu Edgy a
try...
