help installing 6.06 LTS

so i got the CDs from Ubuntu for Kubuntu. i've been a long-time linux
user but i have to admit the install steps are eluding me. if i boot
from the CD i can hit enter to either (according to the options listed)
install or run from the CD. well - there never is an install option
available. or, according to the CD packaging, i can "run the live cd and
double click the "install" icon." trouble is - there never is an
"Install" icon.

so what am i missing here?

any help would be appreciated.
