Question:Konqueror can not recognize URL's on the web.

I have installed Kubuntu 7.10 (on amd64 hardware) , I can not connetc to 
internet using Konqueror. When I try it, I see the following message :

"An error occurred while loading URL(e.g www.google.com)
The file or folder URL does not exist."

I connected to internet via a proxy server, I can ping proxy
and other local servers such as DNS server,  the error appears after proxy 
authentication.
