An hour or so I'd guess, but beware tho: Slackware strictly follows the "KISS" 
principle, it's very trimmed down and as basic as possible, it's hardly more 
than an LFS with a package manager.
Main advantage: total control, you absolutely know what's going on beneath the 
hood, fast, slim system, small footprint, *very* stable, very secure.
Main disadvantages: you turn into a full time console jockey and compile more 
stuff manually than a gentoo fanboi because there's not really an awful lot 
of packages in Slackware.
It's still good for servers imo tho it doesn't support installing on LVM/RAID 
directly.
