I see, it is a hotmail problem then. You might consider another email 
provider like gmail. You can get the account for free and I know from 
other posts that gmail allows you to write decent (according to mailing 
list standards) mails. Furthermore, with gmail you can even use a regular 
email client program like Kmail or Thunderbird if you want. I think 
yahoo! has free email accounts as well which allow writing decent mails 
but AFAIK they only offer web mail.
