I don't actually have a webcam. I realise that there are many models 
available and I have no idea which ones work best on Linux. I have 
looked around the internet to find many conflicting opinions so I am 
somewhat puzzled at the moment.

So yes, any recommendations about models would be welcome. As for price 
range, I don't know what sort of price they command so can only suggest 
not more than say £100.
