OT Both my HDD's going bad at same time.

I have done that.  Both disks showed as Passed.  Nonetheless, there was a long 
list of mentioning that the drives were old and soon to fail.

The reason I have thought they might be a problem is due to comments made by 
people from the list.  Also, there is a hum of sorts.  Everyone seems to say 
they think it could only be a fan, but there is a variation in the hum that 
would indicate stopping and starting.  Isn't that the way the HDDs work.  
Shoot they may continue to work for years.  It is just all those entries 
warning old age and imminent failure, make me think I should be concerned.

I can't recall right now, it may have been you, but I hadn't thought about an 
exterior Hard Drive.  If I can get a decent price, maybe that is my solution.  
At least it could be used and compatible on the new computer.  Thanks!
