RESOLVED: No login screen after update to 4.2.90

Dear all,

Suddenly I realised that the main issue was that the laptop wifi didn't work 
when the things were mixed-up. So:

1. I did connect the ethernet cable.
2. Got GRUB to start on recovery mode.
3. Ran apt-get install kde-core
4. Reboot.

Now all looks fine (some of widgets were missing on the screen, but this is not 
a big deal.
