I ran that test earlier today and it did not work.  I am currently at the 
following settings in interfaces:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
address 127.0.0.1
netmask 255.0.0.0

auto eth0
iface ethho0 inet dhcp

as per previous instruction.
