qemu 64bit: jaunty or karmik 64 doesn't install

I use VirtualBox but I have heard that the free version of VMware also has 
what you need.,  Try both.

You may be out of luck with your processor.  According to this page, it is 
impossible:

According to this thread, it may be possible if your manufacturer enabled it.
