Kwallet, Kmail and Gmail.

Hello Everybody

Already a few times I have tried to get KMAIL working in combination with
GMAIL. A recent thread has been dedicated to this issue. However, whenever I
try to implement some useful ideas I found there, I get stuck immediately.
The reason is that the software package 'KWALLET' intervenes whenever I try
to start KMAIL or Kontact. KWALLET asks for a password - so I tried both the
root password and the password for my GMAIL account. But neither password
works. I have also read the documentation dedicated to KWALLET. Probably I
made some mistake because of which I half-consciously created a 'master
password' I cannot reconstruct any more. On the other hand, KWALLET looks
like quite useful security software. So, I would like to get started with
it.

When I try to access KWALLET via K >> APPLICATIONS >> Settings, I do see the
KWALLET package. But when I click on it, nothing happens. Also other
possible ways to get KWALLET started do not work: not via ALT-F2- command
"kwallet". Also not via a terminal, with or without 'kdesudo'.
Do I perhaps need to UNinstall and afterwords RE-install KWALLET?

I have at least one more question in this context, but first I want to try
to get the KWALLET problem solved.

Thanks for your possible comments. Respectfully yours,

Bas Roufs.
