Myriam may feel the need to protect the list. The ubuntu-users list
quality has certainly declined with OT and misleading posts, and she
may be trying to prevent that from happening to the kubuntu list as
well. I actually applaud her effort, even if I disagree about the
specifics of this particular thread. Thanks for backing me up, though,
it certainly is important to know if the list community - not just
Myriam or myself or anyone else - accepts or does not accept an
occasional metathread.
