Problems with KPilot and syncing

When I was using Kpilot about a year ago on Hardy I had no end of problems getting it to connect 
to my Palm. I used to have to try several times to sync using different ports and then suddenly 
it would connect. Then when I tried again it wouldn't connect and so I would have to go hrough 
the above again.

I got so fed up with KPilot that I switched to JPilot.
You might have to try adding yourself to the uucp group - logout and then back in again.
