Since you don't have autologin, it is logical this autologin should not 
be a cause of the problem. But when I revert to passwordless autologin, 
the problem reappears, and when I disable this, the problem goes away. 
Therefore it is also logical that autologin causes this problem. 
Strange, it would be interesting to find out the cause of this problem.


Good point to boot to older kernel though. That is a very good suggestion.
