Good to hear that. But Clay's message below confirms what I felt.

When Karmic is in final release, I plan to reinstall and not do anymore 
Alpha. After all, the developers seem to know about the bug reports I 
filed. It is kind of reassuring, in a way. Also there's too much work 
getting alpha's to work when something goes wrong. Lucky I am in my free 
period. And yes, Intrepid as well as Jaunty (up to 4.2.2) is not up to 
mark and was sort of worked myself into karmic. And kde 4.3 is much 
better in karmic than in jaunty. I still have hardy 3.5.10, and most of 
the usual 'work' is through there. It also helps that my partition setup 
makes it safe if any OS fails. No data lost and reinstallation is easier 
too.
