I am using PCLOS, KDE desktop, HP LaserJet 2200dn, and I have the same
problem with the HP machine.
I also have an Epson WP-4530 "do-everything" printer, and it does _not_
exhibit the problem, with the same
text. I have the option of several drivers for the HP, and I haven't
actually tried different ones against the
problem, but it seems to me I always do see that performance. If it
becomes necessary to try all the
drivers, I will attempt that, but in my experience, not all the drivers
provide acceptable performance.
At least one of them will cause the printer to wait a l-o-n-g time
before printing--many many minutes!
Let me know if I must do this, or can you do it yourself?
