Kubuntu 24.04 LTS does not recognise my Canon Pixma 3501 printer.

Hello Everybody.

Several previous versions of Kubuntu DID automagically recognised my
printer: a Canon Pixma 3501. However, when connecting a USB cable between
laptop and turned on printer now, nothing happens - not via SYSTEM
SETTINGS > PRINTER, also not via Cups.

Via this page I have downloaded debian printer drivers....

https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer/products/printers/pixma/g-series/pixma-g3501.html?type=drivers&language=EN&os=Linux%20(64-bit)

However, when trying to install

cnijfilter2-5.30-1-deb via Qapt installer, I get problems with unmet
dependencies. No idea what to do next.

Yours.

Bas.
