Toshiba Portege 4010 Suspend/Resume

Hey Guys
I've been using linux for a long time, but I'm new to the trials and
tribulations of linux on laptops :-)
I just got a Toshiba Portege 4010, and have installed xubuntu 6.10 on
it. Everythings gone pretty smoothly, and I seem to have good access to
most power management functionality. Hibernate seems to work perfectly
too :-)
The problem is that Suspend to RAM doesn't seem to work. It looks like
it all closes down fine, and the power light does its creepy pulse thing
to indicated it is suspended. But it fails to resume. When I push the
power button, the power light comes back on to normal green, and nothing
else --- the screen stays blank and I don't think the hard drive spins
back up (it's hard to hear at the moment). I end up having to hold the
power button down to reboot.
I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem. Can anyone give me
pointers as to what to look at first?
Thanks heaps,
Tom
