How are the subscribers categorized?

Hi all,
         How are the subscribers categorized seems like the latest
subscriber at the bottom rather than at the top. Has there been any
discussion to make it sort alphabetically if a user wants to see that  for
it does look confusing. Also I saw couple of yellow stars on couple of
people, what is that supposed to be? Looking forward to answers, suggestions
