Translation system (Rosetta) bug?

Hello,

I'm using Edgy on i386 in German with KDE. Occasionally, I see a
nontranslated string somewhere in an application - examples:

Konqueror:
View > Split View is not translated into German

GNOME Update manager:
The text "reading state information" displayed in italic below the
progress bar when you start it is not translated into German
When the Windows "Can't install all updates" pops up, there is a
string "%s" which hints that some text is missing?

But in all cases, when I browse to the application in question in Rosetta,

a) it claims that this app has been 100% translated into German already
b) clicking on it will produce a timeout and an OOPS message.

I tried about a dozen apps so far and I'm slowly losing my initiative. ;-p

Can anybody have a look at what's happening here? That would be very
helpful.

Thanks!
