Fwd: Rosetta validation on po import

hi everybody,

i'm a Ubuntu Italian translator.

I have an issue similar to bug 3446 while importing po file in rosetta. 

I'm talking with upstream (kde Italian) to fill a bug report on specific 
package (krita). They ask me how to reproduce this error. 

Now the question: What rosetta use for validate po files? 
There's a validation program (i.e. on gettext suite) to reproduce the problem 
in a local system?
