Possible bug in Launchpad

As mpt would say, good mooooooorning launchpaders.

I've had a small issue come up a few times, but I thought I'd discuss
it here before reporting it as a bug.

Several times users have applied to join a team I own, making
Launchpad fire off an email with a convenient quick link to approve
the new user.
It has happened several times (maybe 4 or 5), that a user applies to
the team, and then changes it's Launchpad ID almost immediately after,
making the link in the email send me to an invalid URL.

Can this be prevented some how?
