Hi Jordan,
That's a separate issue, and not related to the technical problems
we've been ironing out.

With Launchpad mailing lists, this is currently true. However we have
plans to relax this requirement under certain circumstances. Stay
tuned, though I don't know that that will specifically address the
Ubuntu community's issues with migrating to Launchpad.
