No WiFi on Acer Aspire One, how to get it to detect it?

Chris,

Try this command in a terminal and you will know if the wireless
switch is turned off.

rfkill list


Here is what mine returns.

test at test-Latitude-D620:~$ rfkill list
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
1: dell-wifi: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
test at test-Latitude-D620:~$

Switch turned off by me..

test at test-Latitude-D620:~$ rfkill list
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: yes
1: dell-wifi: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: yes
	Hard blocked: yes
test at test-Latitude-D620:~$

If you go to the forum try "Networking & Wireless" I used to spend
lots of time there..
and the guys there are very helpful .. be careful you might become a
wireless Guru..
