Problem with untranslated messages?

Hi all!
I was looking at the italian translation of synaptic. When i checked the 
untranslated messages i noticed that they are effectively translated 
into italian and clicking "save" nothing happens! I'm still getting the 
same translated messages as untranslated. Anybody knows of such a problem?
