Ubuntu 16.04, which version of snapcraft

Hi,
 Up to now I had a target platform running Snappy Ubuntu 15.04.
I was building the .snap to run on this using snapcraft 1.1.0. The platform
I used to build the .snap was running Ubuntu 14.04.
To summarize, I was running snapcraft 1.1.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 and running the
resulting .snap on Ubuntu 15.04.

Now I have access to a target platform running Snappy Ubuntu 16.04.
So I think now I need to use a newer version of snapcraft. Can you advise
which version. Also what version of Ubuntu can this version of snapcraft be
installed on?
