No, as snaps (even on classic ubuntu) don't really see the regular OS
they run on. They see the OS snap instead.
We are working on a new mechanism which will allow sharing fonts and
perhaps other files from the OS (whatever fonts may be installed) but
it won't be ready for a few more days. It will probably be released in
a week or two from now.

When that is available your application will see /usr/share/fonts from
the host OS, assuming the fonts interface is connected.
