Kernel for Warty

[Herbert: we're discussing the prospect of building the kernel udebs
directly from linux-source, rather than using kernel-wedge and
linux-kernel-di]

Ah, right. The net difference is the same, though; we'd be down to 2
packages per update (linux-source, debian-installer) rather than 8
(kernel-source, debian-installer, 3x kernel-image, 3x linux-kernel-di).
This is especially significant because these currently need to be done
serially; first kernel-source, then the kernel-images, then linux-kernel-di,
then debian-installer.

I am more than happy for you to upload the kernel when you need to change a
udeb; I think that's the way it should be. Syncing the module lists should
be pretty trivial, I expect. CCing Herbert for input on this.

I think we should use the metapackage, yes.

How bad is the debian-cd situation? Does it get the kernel out of a .deb,
from the debian-installer tree, or someplace else?

Is your modified debian-cd available for download (or in arch) someplace?
