It's not that bad, just needs a minor tweak to make sure the kernel
actually ends up on the CD after being renamed to linux-image-*.
debian-cd gets kernel .debs from the archive and d-i kernel/initrd pairs
shipped to it by debian-installer, pretty much as you'd expect.

I tried to put it in arch ages ago and was told off because the
debian-cd import wasn't gold yet; having a gold import there would make
my life much easier in a number of ways. For the meantime, it's here:

My wrapper scripts are in arch at
colin.watson at canonical.com--2004/cdimage--mainline--0 (only accessible
for those with chinstrap accounts for now).
