Eu de novo,
Instalei o linux-headers-2.6.10-5-686-smp e criei um link simbólico:
$ sudo ln -s /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.10-5-686-smp /usr/src/linux

mas mesmo assim dá o mesmo erro de antes.

olhem o que aparece quando dou um:

:/usr/src$ cat linux/include/linux/version.h
#define UTS_RELEASE "2.6.10"
#define LINUX_VERSION_CODE 132618
#define KERNEL_VERSION(a,b,c) (((a) << 16) + ((b) << 8) + (c))

Por ora é só isso que consegui.
