Off topic for this list, but this should be brought up within the
context of the copyright revision process. A past government thought it
was important to be able to have the right to back up software (without
the permission of the copyright holder), and I believe part of a "living
fair use regime" should include the right to back-up all digital media.
This would be on top of the right to time, space and device shift
legally acquired digital content "without additional permission or payment".
I have a draft of copyright policy for CLUE via

might be useful for people to look at. We need to fight to ensure that
legitimate software tools like K2B which have non-infringing uses are
kept legal in Canada.
