  Well, I had the same thing happen to me. When I  loaded Windows first,
didn't  set the drivers for my video card and then installed  Ubuntu I did
NOT get the resolution I got when I installed the windows drivers before
installing Ubuntu.

When you boot into Ubuntu, whether from the CD or from the hard drive,
