Indeed, dial-up support needs to be developed and made easier. This is mostly
due to the fact that the majority of modems, referred to as "Winmodems," rely
almost entirely on software to drive them, and thus finding drivers for these
modems in Linux can prove to be a little more difficult than "click once."
It also doesn't help that hardware manufacturers that develop Linux drivers
are few and far between, mostly because the end user market is dominated by
Microsoft.
