ubuntu blues

hi there Don and first off, no, you have never worded things in the
vague sense, and well, i have three groups/forums i have joined for
ubuntu support, and the one group, they were all, ubuntu users are
friendly, lots of support and stuff like that... mainly this vague stuff
is found at the ubuntu forums, and well, how does one search for info
there, what with several thousand pages to read thru... barely any time
here as it is....

so, i been trying to install the ymessenger, banshee, this add on for
flash player and so far, missing files seem to be the norm....

the flash player is not necessary, but, the ipod shuffle support and
voice chat are my top priorities at present time... i am thinking, if i
can get these to work, then i will go with default software for the rest
of the stuff, as i lost all windows files and software, i am starting
all over again,....

i am trying my best to maintain a positive attitude... yet, it is like,
i need that one site with understandable info... i dunno about this
group, but i have found in some forums there seems to be a hit and miss
with getting good advice... email groups do tend to work better
